Privacy Policy

Lumhosting (we, us, our) runs the online store at lumhosting.com. This policy sets out what personal information we collect when you browse or buy, why we hold it, who else sees it, and the control you keep over it.

1. What we collect

Identity and contact details — the name, email address, telephone number, delivery address and billing address you give us at checkout or when you write to us.
Order records — what you bought, when, the value, the delivery status and any support correspondence attached to it.
Technical and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, device identifiers, the pages you opened, the site that referred you and the times of those visits.

2. Payment details are not ours to keep

Card payments are taken by Shopify Payments on a PCI-DSS compliant checkout. Full card numbers and payment credentials are handled by the processor and are never stored on our own systems; what reaches us is confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus the last digits needed to identify a transaction in a dispute.

3. Why we hold it

To take, pack, ship and where necessary refund your order.
To answer your questions and handle returns or warranty issues.
To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised transactions.
To understand which parts of the store work badly and fix them.
To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
To send marketing email — only where you have opted in, and only until you opt out.

4. Who else sees it

We share the minimum necessary with the third-party services that make the shop function: our e-commerce platform provider, our payment processor, the delivery carriers who need an address to deliver to, and the analytics providers who measure how the site performs. Each receives only the data required for its own task.

We may also disclose information where the law, a regulator or a legal process requires it, or where disclosure is needed to protect our rights, our property or the safety of others.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The store sets cookies to keep your cart intact between pages, remember preferences and measure traffic. Your browser settings control which cookies you accept and let you clear the ones already stored. Blocking them is your right, but some parts of the store — the cart in particular — will stop behaving properly.

6. How long we keep it

Order and contact records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order, support you afterwards, satisfy tax and accounting rules and resolve any dispute. Once none of those purposes applies, the data is deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be traced back to you.

7. Security

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards to the data we hold, and all traffic between your browser and the store is encrypted with SSL/TLS. No system connected to the internet is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot promise absolute protection — what we can promise is that we will act quickly if something goes wrong.

8. Your rights

Ask what personal information we hold about you.
Have inaccurate details corrected.
Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law.
Withdraw consent to marketing at any time, through the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.

To exercise any of these, write to support@lumhosting.com from the address on the order and we will verify the request before acting on it.

9. California residents (CCPA)

If you live in California you have further rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

Right to know — the categories and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and where they came from.
Right to delete — deletion of that information, subject to the exceptions the statute allows.
Right to opt out — we do not sell personal information. If that ever changed, a clear opt-out would be published here first.
Right to non-discrimination — prices and service stay exactly the same when you exercise a privacy right.

10. Children

This store is built for adults and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them (COPPA). If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete the record promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the revised version is posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes are worth a read; the date at the top tells you whether anything has moved since your last visit.
